Desk Project Update

In June of 2020, COCE began raising funds for 90 desks to be built. These desks will furnish the two classrooms that COCE constructed in April of 2020. In an amazing show of support, COCE raised all of the funds needed to start the project in one month!  

COVID-19 caused some delays in construction, but we are so excited to update you with a video of the desks being built. Initially we had thought to hire just one carpenter to fulfill the order, but as you can see in the clip below, we have managed to hire 4 different local men to complete the project.  

Especially in these times of economic insecurity it is a beacon of hope to employ local Kenyans to complete COCE’s projects. Thank you for being a part of this project with us! We look forward to sharing the photos of the completed desks in the near future.
