Giving Thanks: Nangina School Classrooms and Desk Completion

COCE is very excited to announce the completion of the Nangina School Classroom and Desk project! We cannot believe how much was accomplished over the last seven months! Delivered early last week, the desks were very well received by the children and staff at Nangina Primary School. We were fortunate enough to get a couple of clips of the delivery, which you can check out below.  

It is with great pride and gratitude that we here at COCE share this news with you, because it’s truly magnificent to see hard work come to fruition. We also recognize that we could not have achieved this without the support of our staff, community partners, and donors. These desks are not only important to the children who will be using them in class, but also to their parents and the community members in Nangina.  

One community member wrote to us about the wonder and excitement a schoolchild in her life shared with her about the desk delivery. This community member said that the child came home and told her “they brought desks [to the school that] she has never seen before”. After the child described the desks to her, she became really impressed as she realized that those are desks mostly used by college students.
